Hugo Didier

Coming from a line of potters, I chose to combine the old with the new by producing modern and committed ceramics. With the collections “Not made in china” and “Cé Faitte Icitte” I offer the consumer a reflection on the objects that inhabit our daily lives. I invite him to consider the person or people who made it and to think about the origin and the context in which these objects were made. Also, I ask him about the emotional relationship we have with our possessions. All the pieces from my different collections are produced and decorated by hand. They are made of Canadian porcelain fired at high temperatures. As a result, they are resistant to microwave use and dishwasher use.
